Iranian short film “Adjustment” directed by Mehrdad Hassani, has made its way to the International Competition of Los Angeles Children's Film Festival in USA. And will be the only representatives of Iran’s at the 17th edition of the event.
The 17th annual LAICFF takes place March-May 2023.
Each year, presenting around 100 short films from around the world—animation, live action, and documentary films—at different venues and organized for different age groups.
“Adjustment” tells the story of little kid who has been shamed and pushed away by his family and friends. Having been through variety of ordeals and with a messed up mind and identity, Shahrokh, must face the people of his village and show up in the class before his classmates.
The short film has already participated in a number of global events, including the Oscars and BAFTA qualifying Raindance film festival in the UK, Oscar qualifying Chicago International children’s Film Festival and the Oscar-qualifying Busan International Short film festival in South Korea, where it won the Grand Prix.
The main cast members of the film are Mansour Nasiri, Moeid Asoudeh and Fatemeh Moradi.
